Training and Supervision: Mentor and guide nursing staff, including LPNs and CNAs, ensuring adherence to care protocols and facility procedures. Compliance: Ensure all nursing practices comply with state and federal regulations, including infection control, safety protocols, and resident rights. Emergency Response: Respond promptly and appropriately to medical emergencies, utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment to stabilize and manage acute situations. Participation: Works with other nurses in taking weekend, night, and holiday calls on a rotating basis. Qualifications: Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program. Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska. Experience: 2 years of experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred, but not required. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred. Skills: Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills. Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer applications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
