The center provides Evidenced Based care to Pediatric, Gynecological, and Obstetrical patients in collaboration with local OB/GYN physicians, Certified Nurse Midwives, Pediatric Hospitalists, Lactation Consultants, and a highly skilled nursing team. Delivery rate averages 850 births per a year, and a low primary C-section rate validated by national recognition for prevention for the first C-section in collaboration with GSRMC CNM and OB provider groups. The Center for Women and Families is a member of the Oregon Maternal Data Collaborative, participating in statewide safety initiatives and QI data collection with an active team of nurses who demonstrate a long-term commitment to advancing care and supporting the patient and family throughout the lifespan. Hospice RN

Summary Occasionally JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for utilizing the nursing process to provide safe, age-appropriate, direct and indirect Hospice patient care, while practicing within the scope of practice of the Oregon State Board of Nursing. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Hospice teams at Samaritan Health Services support patients and family members through the final stages of their illness. Evergreen Hospice serves patients in Linn, Benton, Marion, Polk, Lincoln and Tillamook Counties. These services are offered in the home setting which may include the patient’s own residence, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities and adult foster homes. Services offered include intermittent skilled nursing visits (24-hour on-call nursing services available), pain and symptom management, medical social services, counseling, spiritual support, hospice aides, trained hospice volunteers and bereavement support. Medications and equipment are included as appropriate. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS Current unencumbered Oregon RN Licensure required. Must be able to pass Criminal Records Check upon hire and every three (3) years thereafter. Healthcare Provider Level BLS required. Summary Occasionally JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE In collaboration with clinical site(s), designs, plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates clinical education programs to advance the Samaritan Health Services (SHS) healthcare teams’ clinical practice at designated clinical site(s).
