Overview NaphCare is hiring a Nurses Practitioner to join our team of medical professionals in Hillsborough County Jail where we manage all aspects of healthcare for the individuals who are currently incarcerated in the Tampa, Florida. As a Correctional Nurse Practitioner (NP ), you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide care to the individuals in residence. Working within a controlled environment, where security is top priority and the days are never dull, you will have various duties to keep you engaged including assessing, diagnosing and treating patients with a range of medical conditions and chronic illnesses, prescribe medications, respond to emergencies, etc. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex medical needs. Responsibilities Job Duties / Responsibilities The Nurse Practitioner plays a critical role in our continued mission to provide quality care that protects the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Duties and responsibilities may include and are not limited to: Conducting physical examinations, developing treatment plans and monitoring patients Managing acute and chronic conditions such as asthma, hypertension, and diabetes. Administering medications and providing instructions to patients Monitoring and documenting patient health including vital signs, medical histories. Providing direct patient care, triaging, assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and coordinating services. Responding to medical emergencies, providing first aid, and ensuring timely transport to appropriate healthcare facilities. Educating patients on preventative care, healthy lifestyle choices, and substance abuse prevention. Understanding and adhering to correctional facility security protocols, while working closely with correctional officers and other healthcare professionals, to ensure the safety and well-being of patients. Maintaining accurate medical records, documenting treatment plans, and reporting any relevant information. Conducting rounds, evaluating patients returning from off-site treatment Admitting and discharging patients from the facility Qualifications Education / Experience / Requirements Advanced nursing education (Master's or Doctorate) Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner Must hold a current unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner in STATE Current DEA registration An appropriate collaborative agreement with the on-site Physician Must possess an active BLS CPR Certification (American Heart Association preferred) Be certified in a Board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties Knowledge of nursing practice principles and techniques, occupational health and safety standards, infectious disease management, applicable health care laws, regulations, and procedures for direct health care services. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Able to work independently and in a team Experience working in a correctional facility or acute care center is a plus Integrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening Physical Capabilities: Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift. Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN

PURPOSE AND SCOPE: The professional registered nurse Outpatient RN CAP 1 is an entry level designation into the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). This position is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties and responsibilities are expected to be performed in accordance with Fresenius Kidney Care policy, procedures, standards of nursing practice, state and federal regulations. · Performs all essential functions under the direction of the Supervisor and with guidance from the Clinical Educator, Preceptor or in collaboration with other Registered Nurses. · Performs ongoing, systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre – during – post hemodialysis treatment for assigned patients and documents in the patient medical record, makes adjustments or modifications to treatment plan as indicated and notifies Team Leader, Charge Nurse, Supervisor or Physician as needed. · Assesses, collaborates, and documents patient/family’s basic learning needs to provide initial and ongoing education to patients and family. · Directs and provides, in collaboration with direct and ancillary patient care staff, all aspects of the daily provision of safe and effective delivery of hemodialysis therapy to assigned patients. · Administers medications as prescribed or in accordance with approved algorithm(s), and documents appropriate medical justification and effectiveness. · Initiates or assists with emergency response measures. · Serves as a resource for health care team, participates in staff training and orientation of new staff as assigned. · Ensures correct laboratory collection, processing and shipping procedures are performed and reschedules missed or insufficient laboratory collections. · Identifies expected outcomes, documents and updates the nursing assessment and plan of care for assigned patients through collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team. · Ensures patient awareness related to transplant and treatment modality options. · Required to complete CAP requirements to advance. · Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor. We partner with your physician and offer 24-hour clinical care seven days a week so you can start your journey to wellness. We are located in North Central Tampa about five miles outside downtown. Job Summary Provides planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process of Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation. Develops nursing care plan in coordination with patient, family and interdisciplinary staff as necessary. Communicates changes in patient’s clinical condition with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers as appropriate. Participates in discharge planning process. The Seasonal Staffing program provides a temporary opportunity for the employee to work a minimum of 36 hours (typically 3–12-hour shifts) per week for a 12-week commitment period at a Seasonal Agreement rate of pay. Once the initial commitment period has exhausted the employee can extend the agreement up to an additional 12 weeks in 4-week increments. The employee’s status during this period will be Per Diem and ineligible for benefits. At the end of the Seasonal Agreement the employee may has the option, based on current job openings, to change status to full-time, part-time, or per diem.
