In this position, you will practice in an advanced role to provide developmentally appropriate, comprehensive care for children with a myriad of neurologic conditions. You will work collaboratively with our Neurosciences team, as well as other members of the child’s healthcare team. You will practice under established clinical protocols and guidelines. Assists in the preparation and delivery of ambulatory patient care as directed by provider(s) and other licensed clinical personnel. Skillfully and consistently performs clinical duties per established departmental policies and procedures. The care is based on the nursing process and augments the medical plan of treatment appropriate to the ambulatory care setting with an emphasis on good customer relations. Education and Experience High School diploma required. Either a graduate of an accredited MA school OR a current MA certification required. Location: Dodson Medical Office Building Department: Cln-Neurosurgery Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary: Coordinate scheduling of patients, physicians, staff, equipment, and site/space for epilepsy patients. Coordinate all necessary paperwork and orders in a timely fashion for In-patient admission, ancillary testing and clinic patients. Participates actively in all phases of the procedure. Qualifications: Associate Nursing required, BSN preferred RN experience 3-5 years experience. Possess excellent interpersonal skills. Neurology background would be ideal, but not necessary. Computer literacy and working knowledge of excel, access, power point, word. Certification/Licensure: Current permit or license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas. Current BLS Certification. Will obtain PALS certification within two years from their date of hire/transfer date. Other certification may be required by department.
