Job Summary and Responsibilities A s our Cardiac Nurse, you’ll care for patients who may have life-threatening cardiac events or conditions while helping their families navigate daily care and the long-term plan for healing and maintenance outside of the hospital. Sets up, operates, and troubleshoot various CIED programmers and deciphers complex cardiac device data elements; provides Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD), Pacemaker (PM), Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy Defibrillator (CRTD), Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy-Pacemaker (CRTP) checks in-clinic and via remote follow-up. Manages device data in all available applications and patient medical records; communicates all findings to include indications found during testing; training and educating patients on all aspects of the proper use of transmitting devices; troubleshoots patient compliance issues; schedules appointments for pacemaker monitoring and facilitates appropriate in-office follow up.
