This .80 fte position will be based at our Lino Lakes clinic with potential for coverage at our Roseville or Hugoclinics. This position will work in clinic Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday days (start time between 7:45am – 8:30am and end time between 4:15pm – 5pm). This position provides triage support for our clinic at the North Suburban Family Physicians clinics by using protocols embedded in the electronic medical record and a variety of resources including standing orders and protocols. This position also includes occasionally working with patients that have questions or needs once on-site . Gather all necessary and appropriate information from a caller and relay information to the appropriate provider for necessary follow-up. Inform reception desk of provider’s schedule status and assist in coordination of urgent and non-urgent provider schedule changes to ensure patient and provider needs are met. Perform patient correspondence when requested and assist patients in completing forms when appropriate. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to procedure and OSHA standards. Complete scheduled cleaning requirements for designated work areas. Document completion of work to comply with infection control and OSHA standards Implement other infection control procedures as needed and adhere to protective clothing requirements. Ensure clinic supplies are adequately stocked and well organized. Process and deliver department inventory requests in a timely manner. Routinely check expiration dates and remove or replace outdated supplies. Maintain prescription sample supply cabinet as per clinic protocol Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and adequate records are kept. Ensure inventory of instruments and equipment is current.
