Responsibilities Primary: Ability to fulfill all responsibilities of the Patient Care Specialist position as detailed in the specific Patient Care Specialist job description. Deliver clinical and administrative support for the team and adhere to all policies and procedures of the company. Prepare exam and treatment rooms for patient intake. Triage patients by checking vitals, performing blood draws and giving injections, etc. Observe patients, charting, reporting changes in patients’ conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment and taking any necessary action. Assist with lab testing and phlebotomy. Assist providers in preparing for minor procedures and physicals. Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatment. Assist patients utilizing a Virtual Medicine Provider. Ensure accurate completion of patient charts in a timely matter and forwarding charts as appropriate on a daily basis. Arrange referrals to a specialist and obtaining pre-authorizations when directed by the Provider. The ability to maintain friendly, cordial relations with all clients and employees; maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that results in a positive work relationship with customers, co-workers and managers. Perform federal and non-federal DOT, BAT and Drug Screen exams. The ability to perform the physical, use of senses, cognitive, and environmental functions of the position, as specified on the physical demands. Verify insurance eligibility and relay relevant information on payment policies and billing/collection processes. Work as part of the overall team by answering telephone, taking messages and returning voicemails in a friendly and professional manner Essential Functions Specific to Supporting Telehealth Prepare patient charts by virtual patient communication, generally phone or video conferencing. Assist with patient follow ups including but not limited to: pharmacy requests, patient paperwork, scheduling, and clinical calls with patients or other facilities including physical Fast Pace clinics. *** Additional Requirements and Responsibilities Level 1: High School Diploma or its equivalent with a current CPR license* and/or at least 1 year of experience as a certified MA, EMT Paramedic preferred in clinic setting, preferably urgent care Level 2: Certified MA, EMT or Paramedic with a current CPR license* and either (1) 4 years’ experience in relevant role and 2 year of Fast Pace experience in Clinical Tech role or (2) 6 years’ experience in relevant role. Level 3: Certified MA, EMT, or Paramedic with a current CPR license* and either (1) 6 years’ experience in relevant role and 2 years of Fast Pace experience in Clinical Tech role or (2) 8 years’ experience in relevant role. Level 4: Certified MA, EMT, or Paramedic with a current CPR license* and either (1) 6 years’ experience in relevant role and 2 years of Fast Pace experience in Clinical Tech role or (2) 8 years’ experience in relevant role. Additional Responsibilities: Administration duties, including but not limited to scheduling, ordering, training, and other duties assigned by Clinic and or Regional Director *Receive and active within 7 days of hire. Experience Requirements and Preferences: Basic Requirements: Education: High School Diploma or its equivalent AND Experience: At least 1 year of experience as an MA, EMT or Paramedic preferred in clinic setting, preferably urgent care Current License or Certification: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant school strongly preferred. License must be active, in good standing, and verifiable with the proper regulatory agency. How you make a difference The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in patient care by contributing to the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Working under the supervision of RN(s), the LPN provides direction and guidance in patient education and activities that align with their education and demonstrated competencies. Key Responsibilities Under RN supervision, assesses patients' physical, psychological, and social dimensions in both the Health Care Unit and housing units, contributing to individualized treatment planning and consulting with RNs and staff as needed. Implements treatment programs directed by Health Care Practitioners, administering medications, including IV therapy (if certified), and performing diagnostic tests according to established protocols and procedures. Collaborates in controlled substance counts at the beginning of each shift, adhering to safety techniques, procedures, and standard precautions while responding to codes or health emergencies within standard guidelines. Assists in medical or minor surgical procedures, implements nutrition and therapeutic diet plans, and documents nursing encounters using SOAP charting, ensuring effective communication with nursing staff, physicians, and other relevant personnel. Attends mandatory staff meetings and training sessions, demonstrating a commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to policies and procedures in providing high-quality patient care. Qualifications & Requirements Education Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Experience Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience Licenses/Certifications Have and maintain current licensure as a Licensed Practical/Licensed Vocational Nurse within the state of employment. How you make a difference As a Registered Nurse (RN), your primary responsibility is to provide patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will work under the supervision of Charge Nurse(s) to provide patient education and activities in accordance with your competencies and education. This role requires excellent communication and critical thinking skills to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Assist in assessing and planning individual treatment programs, consulting with Charge Nurse(s) and other staff as necessary. Implement medical plans by administering medications, obtaining diagnostic tests, and assisting with medical or minor surgical procedures as needed. Count controlled substances and implement clinical and technical aspects of care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Document nursing encounters using the SOAP form of charting as required by policy and attend mandatory staff meetings and training. Communicate information to nursing staff, physician, health care unit supervisory personnel or other staff as necessary.
