Children’s Minneapolis is an ACS Level I trauma center and our PICU cares for children who have experienced a wide range of traumatic events. Many of our patients require assisted ventilation. We also utilize extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) when needed. Our patient population requires complex care, including hemodynamic monitoring, critical medication management, maintenance of systemic perfusion and management of organ failure.
