Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN), Occupational Health – Weekend Schedule Location: East Hartford, CT Schedule: Friday–Monday | 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (10-hour shifts) As a Full-Time Registered Nurse in Occupational Health , you’ll provide care to client employees within our onsite Health Center in East Hartford, CT . This weekend schedule offers a strong balance of autonomy and consistency, allowing you to take ownership of patient care in a more streamlined environment with fewer weekday interruptions. You’ll have the opportunity to practice independently while continuing to build confidence in your clinical expertise. What You’ll Do Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manages required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.) Evaluates, treats, and prioritizes patient care within the scope of practice Delivers evidence-based care to injured workers, accelerates return to work, and coordinates case management with the TPA and client Implements and monitors transitional duty programs for injured workers Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision) Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care Collaborates with healthcare professionals and resources, and company departments on health programs and injury prevention Assists with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives Performs other duties as assigned What You’ll Bring Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services At least three years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an occupational health clinic, emergency room, or other ambulatory care clinic Experience in strategies to promote and maintain healthy, safe, and productive workplaces, including: partners to identify/mitigate workplace hazards, health screenings/education, fitness for duty, and return to work exams Work-life balance is at the foundation of how decisions are made and where Premise is headed.
