Excellent patient care and communication skills including the ability to explain procedures, educate patients on treatment plans, and provide emotional support. Possesses a thorough understanding of infection control protocols and safety measures to prevent the spread of diseases including proper hand hygiene, using personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly, maintaining a clean and sterile environment, and following safety regulations. Possesses a thorough understanding of medical ethics and legal principles, including patient confidentiality, informed consent, and compliance with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Ability to prioritize responsibilities, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing situations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Salary Range: The base rate for this position is $19.00 - $22.00 per hour. The hourly range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. Overview Dermatology-MOHS Surgery Clinic 40 hours per week The Licensed Practical Nurse – Inpatient/Procedural is responsible for providing safe, high quality care to general care patients as a team member in an assignment supervised by a Registered Nurse. Overview Hematology/Oncology Infusion Clinic 36 hours per week, Monday-Friday Performs various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Assists nursing service personnel with a variety of patient care duties. Possesses direct access to drug products and secure medication locations in order to manage the storage, handling and disposal of medications consistent with the Medication Storage and Handling Policy. Responsibilities Assists with routine patient care activities under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, including, but not be limited to, performing ADL’s, obtaining clinical data, including vital signs, heights and weights, utilizing universal precautions, collecting specimens or performing point of care testing and recording results in medical record, etc. Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment by keeping the hallways clear of excess equipment, emptying linen bags when full, etc. Assists visitors and answer telephones.
