Assists the RN by performing patient care activities delegated to the unlicensed nursing support staff as well as additional specific functions for which he/she has been prepared. Incorporates the concepts of the Hospital's Customer Service Program into all aspects of patient care activities. Accountable to the Nurse Manager or designee for all activities. The Medical Assistant provides basic patient care and performs job specific tasks under the direct supervision of a physician or other licensed medical provider according to established policies and procedures.
