KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Provides leadership and direction to Mental Health Workers. Assist in collection and documentation of a comprehensive database. Administers medication and medical treatment as prescribed by a physician, physician’s assistant or nurse practitioner. Provides structure to and assists in maintaining the therapeutic milieu. Directly intervenes and assist the RN in psychiatric and/or medical crisis situations. Involved in activities of daily living in order to encourage positive behaviors and foster self-care. Qualifications SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES : Knowledge of appropriate nursing, diagnosis, and intervention with psychiatric patients.
