Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Overview Our Mid-Cities Division (Texas Health Resources HEB) has a FT position available . The position is working in a care-team model and the schedule is 8 hour shifts each week. THR HEB hospital is a busy 250 bed hospital located in Bedford, Texas. There are currently no hearts or Pedi. Our CRNAs cover endoscopy, OB, Cath lab and the main OR. Cases in the OR include GYN, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, vascular, podiatry, and some ENT. This position requires no holidays or weekends. Occasional weekend call from home, 7am-5pm Saturday or Sunday. Approximately 7-10 call shifts per calendar year. Call taking positions also available to offer 24 hour weekend coverage, then up to seven days off in a row! How you make a difference As a Registered Nurse (RN), your primary responsibility is to provide patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will work under the supervision of Charge Nurse(s) to provide patient education and activities in accordance with your competencies and education. This role requires excellent communication and critical thinking skills to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Assist in assessing and planning individual treatment programs, consulting with Charge Nurse(s) and other staff as necessary. Implement medical plans by administering medications, obtaining diagnostic tests, and assisting with medical or minor surgical procedures as needed. Count controlled substances and implement clinical and technical aspects of care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Document nursing encounters using the SOAP form of charting as required by policy and attend mandatory staff meetings and training. Communicate information to nursing staff, physician, health care unit supervisory personnel or other staff as necessary. Qualifications & Requirements Education Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Experience Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience Licenses/Certifications Have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of employment. Responsibilities Pediatrix Medical Group has a wonderful per diem opportunity available for a experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to join a well-established practice providing care to neonates at Christus St. Michael’s Hospital in Texarkana, TX. Christus St. Michael's Hospital was ranked by Modern Healthcare as one of the "Best Places to Work in Healthcare" in 2017. The Level-III NICU has 8 beds and the intermediate unit has 7 with an average daily census of 9 infants. The neonatologists see babies in the newborn nursery with approximately 2,100 deliveries annually. NNPs provide 24-hour, in-house coverage and they also care for preemies and term babies who need mechanical ventilation, nitric oxide, oscillator ventilation and total body cooling.
