Job Summary: Organize and direct nursing and related operations of a health care facility to ensure high quality patient care. Duties Description Hutchings Psychiatric Center (HPC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited facility, is recruiting Registered Nurses to join their nursing team. Positions are available on day, evening, and night shift, including every other weekend. No previous psychiatric experience is required. As a Registered Nurse at HPC, you are a vital member of a multi-disciplinary team focused on providing compassionate care through patient-centered and recovery-focused mental health services to individuals with mental illness including: Coordinating and providing nursing care Conducting nursing assessments Preparing, implementing, and modifying nursing care plans Providing health teaching, counseling, and education to individuals and families Implementing infection control protocols and procedures Observing and recording individual’s symptoms and care; reporting responses to medications or changes in health About HPC: HPC is a comprehensive, community-based mental health facility serving individuals from the Central New York region. As a HouseCalls Advanced Practice Clinician (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant), you will conduct annual in-home health assessments for Medicare Advantage and other plan members. This is a non-prescribing, field-based role focused on improving health outcomes through education, gap closure, and collaboration with primary care providers (PCP). New hires who are eligible but haven't applied yet must do so within 1 month of starting. If you're not eligible at the time of hire, you must begin working toward eligibility within 1 month and apply for approval within 3 months of becoming eligible Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of clinical experience (family, geriatric, or home health preferred) Proficiency with electronic medical records and technology Ability to transport equipment weighing up to 30 pounds and navigate stairs as part of home visits Proven communication skills with geriatric or Medicare populations Fluent in any languages besides English Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $125,000 - $175,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role.
