Identify patient needs, prioritize care, and communicate condition changes to physicians and the interdisciplinary team. Develop, implement, and revise individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Administer medications, chemotherapy/biotherapy, IV fluids, and blood products in accordance with ONS and hospital standards. Provide patient and caregiver education on disease processes, treatment side effects, procedures, and discharge instructions; document understanding. Recognize and respond to emergency situations; advocate for patient rights and ensure safe, ethical care delivery. Coordinate care across disciplines, perform effective handoffs, and uphold infection control and equipment safety standards. Evaluate patient outcomes, document variations in care, and implement appropriate nursing interventions. Delegate and supervise nursing care; support staffing needs and participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives.
