Now Hiring - Unit Manager/RN Supervisor - Livingston, NJ Salary Range: $87,000 - $115,000 The Unit Manager/RN Supervisor is responsible for, but not limited to: Patient service focus. Demonstrates and is accountable for patient satisfaction. Safety through the continuous improvement of standards of practice and by providing a safe and secure environment the patient will be assured a sense of safety and well-being, free from risk and harm. Responsible for clinical direction and supervision of staff, services and programs. Education of patients and staff. Assumes managerial and other administrative activities. Responsible for record documentation, both electronic and manual, MD orders, and maintenance of NJSDOH and JCAHO standards. Accepts referrals and initiates admission and process. Monitors Oasis for accuracy and for compliance with regulations. Provides oversight and guidance to the Nursing staff regarding Oasis. Responsible for maintaining compliance with nursing competencies. Assures staff compliance with PPS through education, review's PPS data to identify trends. The Registered Nurse is responsible for supervising and directing the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers. The Registered Nurse is responsible for consistently setting and evaluating priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement. The Registered Nurse is an individual practitioner and the interdisciplinary team manager, utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualizes the plan of care to address a specific patient’s needs. Other Duties In accordance with the objective and goals of the Case Management Plan and State and Federal guidelines, the RN Case Manager Discharge Planner will be responsible for all aspects of case management for an assigned group of inpatients to determine the appropriateness of the continued stay, assist in the development of the plan of care; ensure that the plan is implemented in a timely manner, and identify the expected length of stay. The RN Case Manager works collaboratively with the interprofessional team, including physicians, social workers, clinical nurses, home care services and others as needed. This role actively participates in specific clinical initiatives focused on reducing the length of stay and continued stay denials, improves efficiency, quality, and resource utilization.
