Job Summary Job Description: 8 Hour shifts, Monday through Friday around 10am-6pm. $500 bonus, payable $100 per month for 5 months. Seeking a compassionate Caregiver to provide companion care for a pleasant elderly lady living in Herndon, VA. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to drive client to appointments and on errands. Must be willing to cook meals following a recipe and willing to do laundry. Consistency with the same Caregiver is important to this client. She walks with a cane and needs some assistance monitoring mobility for fall prevention. Meal preparation, light housekeeping, some grocery shopping and transportation to appointments and to run errands. She is a very polite and engaging client. Job Responsibilities Must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations: Follows the instructions of the PAS Supervisor in providing personal assistance services. Provide assistance with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing. Assist with food preparation; serve food, performs errands, light housekeeping, laundry, wash dishes. Observe and report any safety hazards found in the client’s home or any significant observations regarding the client. Attend staff meetings, attend/complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participates in orientation of new employees. Report client complaints to the PAS Supervisor. Report abnormal findings in client’s conditions as observed and per care plan to RN. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: One year of experience as a Caregiver. CNA is highly desirable. Responsible for oversight of and/or scheduling, payroll and other administrative duties Assures that all initial assessments and required reassessments are conducted by qualified team members within required time frames, including documentation completion, submission and /or synchronization. Ensures that all patient/family services comply with federal, state(s) and local regulatory requirements and with accepted professional standards. Ensures protocols are utilized to guide operations and promote adherence to regulatory and internal process requirements. Monitor expenses related to patient/family services to ensure budgetary compliance in collaboration with IDG and Site Leadership.
