Inpatient Oncology, Responding Clinician APP Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), located in Boston, MA currently has an opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our cutting-edge Inpatient Oncology team, caring for inpatients with solid tumors or hematologic malignancies. Join a dynamic inpatient oncology team. Work within one of our two subspecialty groups with APPs that specialize in either 1) solid tumor, caring for an oncology patient population who are admitted for medical complications, new diagnoses, and treatment-related side effects, or 2) hematologic malignancies, caring for patients receiving bone marrow transplant and cellular therapies. This role offers the perfect blend of autonomy and collaboration. You’ll work closely with oncologists and an interdisciplinary team to deliver cutting-edge care on either our solid tumor or hematologic malignancy service. Our APPs have the opportunity to be on the forefront of cancer care, collaborating with research teams to care for patients receiving first-in-human therapies as well as standard of care. Key Responsibilities • Provide comprehensive care for oncology patients from admission to discharge in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. • Participate in daily interdisciplinary rounds and collaboratively develop and implement care plans. • Coordinate tests, consultations, and communicate with referring clinicians and consult services. • Perform patient education and prepare patients for discharge. • Support research initiatives and care for patients receiving first-in-human therapies as well as standard of care.
