Director of Nursing (DON) Kadima Health and Nursing is looking to hire a Director of Nursing (DON) to join our team! Send drafts of all Plan of Correction to correct deficiencies to Regional Director of Clinical Service for approval prior to submission to regulatory agencies. Complete incident reports and follow up on reports. Reporting to the Regional Director of Clinical Services as required. Complete medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charts, etc., ensure that all nursing services personnel are performing their respective duties. Participate in developing, implementing, and maintaining a quality assurance program. Assist in planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining resident discharge procedures and plans. Responsible for reports for monthly P&L meetings (e.g. P&L QI report, State QI report, Threshold Tracking Sheet & QA Meeting Minutes). Participate in surveys and inspections by government agencies; and, make reports and recommendations to the Administrator concerning operations of the department. Participates in department head and nursing department meetings. Assumes the duties of the Administrator in his/her absence. Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator, as necessary/required, concerning the operation of the nursing department. Develop, maintain, and periodically update written job descriptions for each level of nursing personnel obtaining required approval prior to implementation. Knowledge of company goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and federal, state, and local regulations. Utilizes company policies and procedures, job descriptions, quality assurance surveys, regulations, etc., to identify, plan, implement, and assist in evaluations of experiences. Interpret the departments policies and procedures to personnel, resident, families, visitors, and government agencies as necessary. Assure adequate 24-hour nursing coverage in facility each day. Determine the staffing needs of the nursing department necessary to meet the total nursing need of the residents. JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The hospice aide works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs various tasks as assigned in accordance with the patient’s plan of care to meet the patient's personal needs and to promote comfort. The hospice aide is responsible for reporting and documenting observations and care performed. The hospice aide will be assigned in a manner that promotes quality, continuity and safety of a patient's care. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities of the hospice aide include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. Performing personal care needs after given a patient's assignment and attending to his/her requests promptly. If unable to perform a certain task, report to the Case Manager immediately. 2. Providing patient and family with positive communication techniques, within realm of ethical and respectful care, including confidentiality. 3. Meeting safety needs of patient and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, O2 etc.) 4. Giving personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linen as often as assigned. 5. Assisting in dressing and undressing patients as assigned. 6.
