Description The Assistant Nurse Manager Vascular Thoracic Night Shift position is a Registered Professional Nurse with broad knowledge and skills who assumes the role of a clinical leader in the daily functioning of the unit and oversight of quality patient care delivery, in conjunction with, or in the absence of, the Nurse Manager. Responsibilities Patient Care 1. Leads nursing practice using the tenets of the Professional Practice Model of Relationship Centered Care and the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing for the promotion of the patient experience. 2. Demonstrates proficiency in all aspects of Purposeful Hourly Rounding (PHR) and role models expected behaviors. 3. Ensures the integration of PHR into clinical activities to enhance Relationship Centered Care. 4. Description Patient Care Associate MSH GP9C Med/Surg FT Nights EOW As an integral part of the clinical care team, the Patient Care Associate is responsible for patient care and support activities promoting patient focused care within the Specialty Service. The Patient Care Associate supports the registered nurse in patient care activities, such as: assisting patient with activities of daily living, collecting specimens and performing procedures; maintaining a safe, clean environment; and other duties as needed. Clinical/Technical/Service • Demonstrates the ability to perform clinical/technical/service/administrative tasks • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served in assigned area. • Performs and records patient’s vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature and respirations.
