Complete NIH Stroke Scale documentation for applicable patients. Conduct hourly patient rounding to promote safety, comfort, and satisfaction. Educate patients and families to promote independence and successful self-management after discharge. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and discharge planning. Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Unit Secretaries, and Techretaries. Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff and students. Support quality improvement initiatives, patient safety, and professional development activities.
