Caregivers in this unit are passionate about supporting both the physical and mental struggles associated with these conditions, as many patients experience high anxiety due to the uncertainty of diagnosis and treatment. A caregiver in this position works 36 hrs per week rotating days/nights from 7:00AM - 7:30PM or 7:00PM - 7:30AM. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide direct nursing care. Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans. Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions. Administer prescribed medications and treatments. The hired APRN will care for critically ill patients, pre and post operatively, with congenital heart disease. They will often manage patients on vasoactive support, mechanical ventilation, CRRT, and ECMO or Ventricular Assist Devices. Patient population varies from neonates to adults with congenital heart disease that require repeat intervention. The hours for this position will include three thirteen hours shifts including rotating days/nights/weekends and holidays. Call will also be required. Previous APP experience is preferred, however new graduates with ICU experience are welcome to apply. As a Medical Assistant supporting Pediatric Cardiology and Women's Health/OB, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care to infants, children, adolescents, and women across all stages of life. Working collaboratively with providers and interdisciplinary teams, you will assist with medication management, patient monitoring, clinical procedures, and a variety of administrative responsibilities to ensure efficient practice operations. This role offers diverse, hands-on experience in two specialized areas while supporting high-quality patient care, care coordination, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working days between 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. or 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Assist with performing screenings and treatments by gathering and updating information related to health maintenance, identifying medication changes, updating allergy information, collecting specimens, performing tests and documenting patient care. Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition. Maintain equipment, medical supplies and examination areas. Perform administrative/clerical duties, such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Graduate from an approved Medical Assisting Program (As designated by the Enterprise MA Steering Committee) Completion of a clinical externship OR extensive clinical experience Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (within new hire period) Current demonstrated clinical proficiency Military training as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Medical Assisting Certification Successful completion of Cleveland Clinic Externship Physical Requirements: Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
