Checks and records vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Answers to patient calls and needs. All other duties, as assigned. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Qualifications and Skills: Good collaboration and teamwork skills with the nursing staff. Familiarity with symptoms and signs of improvement for a number of medical conditions. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED. State Certified Nursing Assistant License/Certification. Must be CPR Certified. Physical Requirements: Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices is required. Must be able to push, pull move and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet. May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations. Meet all health requirements as needed.
