The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Hospital supports the Registered Nurse or healthcare provider in a hospital setting to provide high-quality patient care. The Birthplace Technician coordinates the surgical scrub duties to care for patients in the Birthplace unit. Working under close supervision, this role supports the surgical team through routine work related to managing equipment and spaces, performing routine checks, and documenting patient information. Essential Job Function: Observes and reports any changes noted in a patient's condition in order for the circulating nurse to alter the treatment plan accordingly. Coordinates equipment by counting, checking, and obtaining sterile medical supplies in the labor and delivery and operating rooms so that physicians are prepared for any procedure or surgery. Documents intraoperative and intrapartum care so that accurate hospital data records are completed. Assists the circulating nurse by identifying, labelling, and preserving surgical specimens for future study. Utilizes communication devices, including phones, patient call lights, and pagers in order to serve as a liaison with the public as needed. Collaborates with colleagues on strategies to accomplish the given department or program objectives. Performs other duties as assigned. Education: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Graduate of a School of Surgical Technology or equivalent military training with surgical technologist experience. Experience: Required: 1 year Licensure/Certification/Listing: Required: Certified Surgical Technologist or Certification eligible. Essential Job Function: Reviews patient needs and conditions to deliver nursing care in assigned unit to ensure that every patient receives the direct and proper care needed. Analyzes patient information, including medical history, diagnostic results, and current condition, to develop individualized nursing care plans. Prepares nursing processes, such as medication administration and treatments to provide comprehensive and effective patient care. Reconciles medical records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. Evaluates patient response to interventions and identifies any additional interventions needed to meet defined goals of care. Collaborates with interdisciplinary care team to ensure effective care planning. Performs other duties as assigned. Education: Required: Associate degree in nursing. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing. Experience: Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse. Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations. Licensure/Certification/Listing: Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.

POSITION SUMMARY What you’ll be doing: We are hiring a Medical Assistant to assist our providers with exams, procedures and other processes to meet the specific needs of our patients, including but not limited to: Triaging patients, measuring vitals, and recording information on patients’ charts Blood draws, venipuncture, specimen collection, and completion of lab work Administering medications and immunizations under provider direction Setting up procedures as instructed by provider Preparing treatment rooms for examinations and bringing patients from the waiting room to exam rooms What you’ll bring to the table: Graduation from a Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or other relevant program, OR an active Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant designation, OR 6 months of experience in a relevant environment. We’d also prefer if you have prior recent experience in a healthcare setting, such as an emergency department, urgent care, or other ambulatory clinic. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA state license required) with phlebotomy certificate Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-A) Paramedic Or, graduate of another relevant program with CMO approval; Or, possesses active Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) designation Certification : BLS through American Heart Association is required; American Safety Health Institute, or National Safety Council are preferred.
