Licensure/Certification: Current LPN license in the state of Kansas BLS verification within 6 months of hiring Age Specific Skills: Age of Patient Population Served: Infant (29 days-less than 1 year) Pediatric (1-12 years) Adolescent (13-17 years) Adult (18-64 years) Geriatric (65 years and older) Hazardous Working Conditions: OSHA Category 1: Tasks that involve exposure to bloody, body fluids, tissues, and other potentially infectious materials. Environmental Surroundings: Located in an indoor area with frequent exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust, fumes, temperature, and noise. Examples: patient care providers and laboratory technicians. Physical Working Conditions: Continuously stand/walk or lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight (20 to 50 lbs). Examples: Nurses, LPNs, and physical therapists.
