Duties and responsibilities may include and not be limited to: Performing comprehensive patient assessments to determine eligibility for MAT, including medical history, substance use history, mental health evaluation, and physical examination Administering MAT medications as prescribed, ensuring proper dosing, and monitoring for adverse effects and drug interaction Educating patients about MAT medications, potential side effects, and the importance of medication adherence, addressing misconceptions and stigma Monitoring patients in the induction, stabilization, and phases of treatment patient ensuring adherence to the program Maintaining medical records, including entering information into our electronic health record, TechCare Observing patient health and mental health status Providing emergency first aid Providing patient education and discharge/release planning Qualifications Experience / Requirements / Qualifications Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Actively state-certified as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse Must possess an active BLS CPR Certification (American Heart Association preferred) Able to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information Display integrity, professionalism and be able to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening Physical Capabilities: Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
