Job Description Job Summary: The Patient Navigator-Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)-Cancer Clinic works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), Medical Doctor (MD) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide developmentally appropriate and age-specific direct and indirect patient care in a fast-paced outpatient cancer clinic and infusion center serving patients eighteen years of age or older with suspected or confirmed malignancies or hematologic disorder(s). Performs designated procedures and treatments which require knowledge and technical expertise within the LVN scope of practice and in accordance with established policies, procedures, protocols, techniques, and guidelines. Recognizes and reports signs and symptoms of complications and/or allergic reactions immediately to the RN, MD or NP. Performs other duties as needed. Education and Experience: Graduate of a school of vocational nursing required. Minimum six months experience as an LVN or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant (MA) in a physician back-office setting required. Minimum one year clinical experience in oncology or hematology nursing or infusion center preferred.
