Position Overview We are seeking an exceptional Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to serve as a remote consultant supporting correctional healthcare teams nationwide. This is not an entry-level position. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience managing complex wounds, exercises outstanding clinical judgment, and is comfortable making timely, evidence-based recommendations independently while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and facility medical teams. Expertise in wound care paired with vascular disease, infectious disease, limb preservation, or complex chronic disease management is strongly preferred. This part-time role requires 20 hours per week, with potential to grow into a full-time position. It calls for clinicians who are highly accountable, detail-oriented, and responsive, and who are willing to obtain and maintain multiple state licenses as the company continues to expand. Key Responsibilities Review patient consultations and provide evidence-based wound care recommendations through our proprietary consultation platform. Assess complex wounds and identify barriers to healing, infection risks, vascular concerns, and opportunities for escalation of care. Develop practical treatment recommendations utilizing approved formularies and available resources within correctional settings, including guidance on advanced wound management, infection prevention, offloading, vascular evaluation, and appropriate use of wound care products. Collaborate with facility physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing teams to optimize patient outcomes. Participate in quality assurance initiatives, clinical outcome reviews, and continuous improvement efforts.
