Location SAINT LOUIS, MO 63110 Scheduled Hours 20 Position Summary This part time position is for an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA) that provides direct patient care in the Emergency Department and will be assigned to at least one site. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Provides direct patient care to include obtaining patient history, performing patient assessment via observation, interview and examination; orders, performs and interprets diagnostic studies; performs preventative health assessments, screenings, immunizations and care; provides direct treatment and management of acute and chronic disease conditions; develops and implements patient-centered plan of care in collaboration with physicians, patients, consultants, nurses, ancillary care providers and others as appropriate to the patient's condition. Champions the safety and quality of care for patients using ITB therapy and serves as an expert in the care and management of ITB pumps. Helps develop a detailed educational program for the patients and lead the quality and safety initiative for the program. Serves as clinical expert regarding rehabilitation nursing while demonstrating a high level of autonomy and expert skill in complex clinical nursing situations. Provides management services for clinical research study projects; monitors participating subjects, including medication administration and family/patient education.
