Collaborates with physician advisor regarding management of the most complex gastroenterology patients, such as Inflammatory Bowel Disease, requiring biological therapy or administration of corticosteroid treatment, in evaluating and revising therapeutic plans. Refers unstable patients to physician. Plans with other healthcare professionals and agencies involved in providing services to patients and their families. Coordinates health care, as appropriate. Receives referrals from other healthcare professionals. Documents all observations, plans, treatments, teaching, and other important findings in patient records. Identifies components of the nursing regimen that may be delegated to other nursing personnel. Performs other duties as assigned. Licensure : A current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States; and you must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination. Licensure: A current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse in the specialty of Anesthesia or related specialty from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. Exemption : You are exempt from the basic requirements above if you are a current federal employee occupying a position in the 0610 occupational series and have been continuously employed in this occupational series since September 27, 2017 or before.
