Job Description Join UChicago Medicine as a Nursing Support Assistant in our Oncology/Stem Cell Transplant Unit! With the leadership of the Manager and the Clinical Supervisor, the Nursing Support Assistant (CNA) performs assigned supportive work in connection with the delivery of patient care, including functional tasks and skills. Job Description Join the University of Chicago Medicine as an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for our Oncology Rapid Assessment Clinic (ORAC). The Advanced Practice Provider will be responsible for comprehensive direct patient care management and will manage patients by exercising autonomous decision making in the assessment, diagnosis, and initiation of delegated medical treatments. The APP will provide healthcare and patient services that may include educational, research, and clinical support, as well as administrative activities under the direction and supervision of the Cancer Service Line leadership. The Oncology Rapid Assessment Clinic (ORAC) i s an APP-staffed clinic area that cares for cancer patients who require urgent, same day/next day assessment and treatment. After an orientation period, the APP will work autonomously and collaboratively with the rest of the ORAC APP team. As a Special Procedures Nurse in the Pediatric Cancer Center and Special Procedures Area, and under the direction of an Attending Physician or a licensed independent practitioner, you will provide complex, specialized, compassionate nursing care to children and adolescents receiving cancer treatment and infusion therapies in an outpatient clinic setting. This role requires strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a family-centered approach to care. The nurse collaborates closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure safe, effective, and supportive treatment delivery. Essential Job Functions: Administer chemotherapy, immunology, blood products, biologics, and other infusion therapies in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
