Additionally, they communicate scheduling changes to the Medical Director and H.S.A. and make arrangements for coverage of medical services if unavailable for an extended period of time. Key Responsibilities Provides medical care to inmates, including conducting exams, chronic care clinics, and infirmary rounds. Maintains accurate and legible progress note documentation in SOAP format and adheres to formulary guidelines. Responds to emergencies and makes logical decisions regarding non-formulary drugs or off-site referrals. Supports existing policies and procedures for admission, transfer, and specialty consultant referrals. Maintains confidentiality and provides input into facility committees as requested. Qualifications & Requirements Education A graduate of an accredited school of nursing An advanced degree in an approved and accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Experience Prior medical/surgical and/or emergency/trauma experience and corrections experience is preferred. Must have the patience and tact to deal with the inmate patient population and ability to work effectively in the corrections environment. About this role The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in patient care by contributing to the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Working under the supervision of RN(s), the LPN provides direction and guidance in patient education and activities that align with their education and demonstrated competencies. Clinical consultation and supervision are sought as required under applicable collaborative practice requirements. Key Responsibilities Provide psychiatric evaluations, treatment, and follow-up care while exercising independent medical judgment. Monitor and manage psychotropic medications, including effectiveness, side effects, and required follow-up. Collaborate with mental health, medical, and administrative teams to ensure consistent psychiatric and mental health services. Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation and participate in required meetings, consultations, and on-call coverage. Support crisis intervention, referrals, transfers, and emergency or involuntary treatment processes as allowed by scope of practice. Qualifications & Requirements Education Master in Science of Nursing or Post-Master’s Certificate from an accredited nurse practitioner program with a specialty in psychiatric mental health across the lifespan. Job Description We are seeking talented Qmap/Caregive r to join our luxury senior living community, Balfour at Riverfront Park , located in one of the trendiest areas of downtown Denver . Must have QMAP/Medication Tech certification to qualify Location: Balfour Riverfront Park | 1500 Little Raven St, Denver, CO 80202 Schedule: Part-Time | 6 PM to 10 PM Department: Assisted Living/Memory Care Pay: $20-$21/hr The Qmap/Caregiver administers resident medication or assist residents with self-administration of medication and coordinate treatments to residents. Provide assistance with activities of daily living while encouraging independence and ensuring each resident’s physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being. What will I do every day? Observe residents for any changes in condition and report to Care Services Director, Resident Care Coordinator (RCC)/Dementia Care Coordinator (DCC), or appropriate physician Assist residents with simple requests as needed or find an appropriate associate to assist Learn resident preferences for opportunities to provide exemplary customer service, exceed resident expectations and enhance resident satisfaction Document and report changes of condition and use company forms for resident care documentation Provide medication set up and assistance Log in medications from pharmacies, verify physician’s orders and communicate any concerns immediately Track all medications and re-order as needed Perform the following tasks with residents: track vital signs, weight, diabetic testing and/or insulin injection (if state allowed), ambulation, and general activities Follow all regulatory and company policies regarding the destruction of medications as identified by the physician, pharmacy, or Care Services Director Assist in documenting and removing medications that are discontinued by the resident’s physician Familiar with the meaning and usage of common medical abbreviations, symbols, and terms relative to the administration of medications Support, lead and participate in resident-centered wellness programs Work toward maintaining each resident’s self-respect, personal dignity, and personal safety Assist resident assistants as needed and whenever primary tasks are completed Track supplies that are needed and communicate to Care Services Director or RCC/DCC Work as part of the team within your department and across the community Support open and honest communication with and between all associates Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working Look for ways to reduce costs and create efficiencies on a daily basis Ensure regulatory compliance and report any issues or concerns immediately Support continuous improvement Adhere to all regulations, laws and Kisco standards, including the Associate Handbook Understand and support the community sales process Perform other related duties as required What will I need to be successful in this role? Must be 21 years of age (or meet state requirements) Have current First Aid and CPR certification Have completed the required training, and/or certification (according to state) for assisting with medications Must be knowledgeable of pertinent regulations with monitoring and licensing of the residence Basic competency in the use of multiple forms of technology, including: Microsoft Office applications, internet-based and custom applications Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed What’s in it for me?
