The Silverton Medical Center Family Birth Center is located on the First floor of the Family Birth Center entrance. The Silverton Family Birth Center includes: - 2 triage rooms- 16 LDRP- 1 OR- 1 expanded care newborn nursery Responsibilities Responsible for patient care within an assigned department/unit and participates as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee as defined by the relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse. The RN Staff Nurse assesses, analyzes, plans, implements and evaluates patient care following established patient care standards for Legacy Health System including those for patient assessment and transfer. Qualifications Education: As required by licensure. BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred. How you make a difference The Nurse Practitioner provides on-site medical services by examining referred patients, conducting clinics, rounds, and responding to urgent and emergency situations. The role delivers ongoing medical care by diagnosing conditions, prescribing treatment plans, managing chronic care, and providing Medication Assisted Treatment services, including induction, follow-up, and medication management. The position documents care, orders and interprets labs, adheres to established policies and formularies, and supports continuity and standards of care within the facility. Key Responsibilities Examine patients, conduct sick call, chronic care clinics, and infirmary rounds, and respond to health emergencies. Diagnose conditions, prescribe and manage treatment plans, and provide ongoing medical and MAT-related care. Conduct MAT assessments, inductions, follow-up appointments, and manage medication continuation and titration. Order and interpret laboratory tests and drug screens and utilize appropriate in-house and referral resources. Document patient encounters, maintain confidentiality, and comply with established policies, procedures, and standards of care. Qualifications & Requirements Education A graduate of an accredited school of nursing An advanced degree in an approved and accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Experience Prior medical/surgical and/or emergency/trauma experience and corrections experience is preferred. Must have the patience and tact to deal with the inmate population and ability to work effectively in the corrections environment. Scheduling flexibility is also required to be able to rotate hours and shifts, if needed, and to be called during emergency situations to provide coverage. How you make a difference As a Nurse Practitioner MAT, you will deliver comprehensive medical care to patients, operating within established policies and procedures and in alignment with state regulations, under the guidance of the Site Medical Director and fellow site Physicians. Your role involves meticulous documentation of provided services for monitoring purposes and promptly communicating any schedule changes or coverage needs to the Medical Director and site director to ensure uninterrupted medical services for patients even during your absence. Key Responsibilities Conducts thorough medical examinations of referred patients upon reporting to the assigned facility, adhering to clinic treatment policies and all relevant state and federal regulations. Provides guidance and training to medical staff, participates in case conferences, and collaborates with clinic personnel on treatment plans while ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient progress in SOAP format. Responds promptly to health emergencies following standard protocols, reviews records as necessary, and utilizes available resources for problem resolution before considering off-site referrals.
