Neuro Stepdown- The environment will be fast-paced, collaborative, and at times unpredictable, reflecting the dynamic nature of our patients' conditions. We care for adult patients age 18 and older who are being treated for acute ischemic, hemorrhagic stroke, subdural, epidural hematoma, subarachnoid hemorrhage, seizures, Guillain-Barre syndrome, Myasthenia Gravis exacerbation, meningitis and encephalitis, spinal cord injury, cerebrovascular intervention, and brain and spinal tumor resection. Our patients are unique because they have specialized neurological needs. Shift This is a full-time day shift position. The shift is 7:00am - 7:00pm, three times per week for a total of 36 hours per week, including some weekends. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum. Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis. Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes. Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment. The responsibilities listed are a general overview of the position and additional duties may be assigned. Summary: Provides routine direct and indirect patient care in a hospital, clinic or home health care setting. All work performed is under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Responsibilities: 1. Assist physicians and other health care providers with routine examinations and procedures, as well as procurement of equipment and supplies during emergency situations. 2.
