BayCare Medical Group’s Cardiac Center of Excellence , based out of St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida , is seeking a board-certified APRN/PA-C Pediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiac Surgery APP. At least three years of post-training work experience with pediatric cardiac surgery patient care is required. RNFA certification is required. In this full-time role, you will be working alongside our Pediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiac Surgeons both in and out of the operating room. Experience in caring for pediatric cardiac patients in a variety of settings, including ICU, is required. You will also serve as a patient advocate, acting as liaison between patients and physicians. Job Description Summary The Pediatric Intensive Care unit is an 28 bed unit providing intensive and intermediate care to children ages 0- 18 from across the state of South Carolina. The unit cares for patients with a blend of medical and surgical diagnoses. Common diagnoses include, but are not limited to, respiratory compromise, trauma, post- operative surgical patients requiring immediate intensive care support, and neurology/neurosurgery. In addition to ventilatory and cardiac support, the unit provides ECMO/CRRT, renal or peritoneal dialysis and additional complex supportive therapies .
