26004670 Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro Surgical ICU – Full-time, 7P Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1304 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104 Work hours: Full-time, Night shift Department Highlights 22 bed Neuro Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Nurse: Patient ratio 1:2 Department is three times Beacon Reward Recipient Stroke, MSOF patients, CRRT, Vent-patients and all forms of life support Brain Tumor and Spine program The department prides itself in high performing staff with excellent critical thinking skills Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team High acuity, high volume department Here’s What You Need Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred CLIAFE – Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly ACLS – within 90 days of hire required CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire NIHSS – within 6 months of hire required 1-year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required ICU preferred - will consider PCU and ED experience In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment. maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism have basic computer skills using medical management application systems What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process assesses the patient plans the care of the patient intervenes as appropriate evaluates the effectiveness of interventions Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
