Set priorities and modifies patient care in response to changing conditions by utilizing problem solving skills and exhibiting good judgment. 7. Delegate appropriate tasks to unlicensed personnel and provides required supervision as needed. 8. Collaborate with all health care providers and interdisciplinary team serving as the primary coordinator to facilitate and coordinate efficient, effective, and quality healthcare. Communicate patient progress towards the outcome attainment and assist providers and team during treatment/examination of patient and process orders. 9. Makes appropriate and timely notification to providers on patient condition changes and carries out provider orders. 10. Monitors, records, and communicates effectively patient condition as appropriate, utilizing computerized documentation systems to maintain therapeutic relationships with patients, families, and physicians. 11. Assesses and coordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Instructs and educates patients and families providing age and culturally appropriate care. 12. Functions as an effective team member and/or charge RN when needed, orients and mentors new staff members 13. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. 14. Maintains competencies in clinical areas and is responsible for professional growth and development. 15. It is expected that the RN will attend Unit Meetings as directed by the Nurse Manager/Director and participate in continuing education programs and quality assurance programs to maintain competence and gain additional skills and knowledge. 16.
