Nurse Specialist Psychiatry Job Description Our nurse specialist in psychiatry works collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners and providers to prioritize and manage their time and resources as applicable to the needs of the outpatient clinic setting. This position also includes a shift differential of $4.00/hr and a weekend differential of $3.25/hr along with career ladder opportunities. Overview POSITION SUMMARY: Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.
