If unsuccessful in obtaining Michigan Licensure upon first attempt, NE will retest a minimum of 45 days after administration of the first exam, per the NCSBN policy. If NE is unable to successfully complete the nursing licensure exam after two attempts the NE will be removed from the NE position and placed in a Nurse Assistant position within 7 days or employment will be terminated. NE will move into an open Registered Nurse position the first full pay period following RN license date. This will also be the date of the new hourly pay rate and status change.
