This role is integral to the delivery of high-quality ophthalmic care, particularly for patients undergoing treatment for medical retinal conditions such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vein occlusion. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Procedures : prepare patients for intravitreal injections following established protocols and safety standards. Maintain strict aseptic technique and ensure compliance with laser safety and medication scanning protocols Patient Preparation & Education : Conduct pre-procedure assessments, educate patients on treatment plans, and provide post-injection care instructions. Support patients with low vision in collaboration with ECLO and other support services Workflow Integration : Collaborate with ophthalmologists, optometrists, and technicians to streamline patient flow and optimize clinic efficiency. Participate in nurse-led post-op clinics and diagnostic assessments such as fluorescein angiography.
