Indiana Fertility Institute (IFI) is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - IVF Coordinator. We seek to fill this role with a nurse who will provide excellent and compassionate clinical patient care based upon the nursing process; being effectively involved with maintaining the standard of care for assigned patients through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. We are offering a $5000 Sign on bonus for this position! HOURS: Days, Monday through Friday. Weekend and holiday rotation required. What you'll be doing: Communicate with patients about medications, treatment plans, and test results. Assist in ovulation induction, egg freezing, sperm analysis, IVF, and egg donation. Perform exams, procedures, occasional phlebotomy, and administer medications. Educate patients on treatment protocols and infertility procedures. Act as a liaison between the physician and the patient. Support retrievals, transfers, and pre/post-operative care. Accurately relay lab results and maintain patient records. Coordinate case management and schedule treatments. Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families. Ensure regular attendance and handle additional duties as assigned. To do this effectively, you'll need the following: HS diploma or GED, required. Valid state license; board certified RN required Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certificate. Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to ensure the integration of information for use by the health care team, to ensure quality of care. Performs sponge, needle, and sharp counts according to policy and procedure. Correctly collects and accurately labels specimens. Maintains inventory control of supplies and medications, including appropriate records and documentation. Reviews and verifies patient information, identification, and chart forms. Supervises and teaches members of the surgical team. Confines and contains sources of contaminations. Reviews and revises surgeon’s preference cards and communicates changes to appropriate personnel. Provides care safely, with adequate quality, quantity, and timeliness and according to applicable standards. Admits patients to all areas within pre and post-operative and post-anesthesia services, and receives and reviews pre post-operative report. Sets-up, operates and monitors the use of various systems, equipment and instrumentation required for the care of patients. Reviews and initiates Physician’s orders, administers medication, parenteral fluids and treatment as needed. Provides instruction, information, and counseling to patients and their families as needed. Distributes educational material as appropriate. Maintains medication and nursing documentation within the patient record. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age and development levels of patients served. Requirements: Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred from a nationally accredited nursing program 2-4 years of PACU, ICU and/or ER Registered Nurse experience required . 4-6 years of experience preferred Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana required BLS, ACLS certification required; PALS preferred OrthoIndy is an Equal Opportunity Employer
