Our nurses, many of whom hold a specialty certification in Maternal Newborn Nursing, care for their patients with an emphasis placed on safe, compassionate, and family centered care. Patient acuity can range from low risk patients, who obtain their care from our highly skilled OB and Certified Nurse Midwife providers, to high risk patients, who obtain their care from our Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists. Our full‐time social workers provide care and resources to our patient population for any psychosocial needs during the patient’s stay. Our IBCLCs are on site seven days a week providing breastfeeding support to inpatients and coordinating our donor milk program in addition to following patients in the community through our outpatient clinic. Summary Coordinates patient care planning with other disciplines utilizing the principles of the nursing process and critical thinking skills in order to maintain patient safety and well-being.
