Come join the dynamic multi-disciplinary team at the Rehabilitation Pavilion. When patients are admitted to the DCH Rehabilitation Pavilion, located at Northport Medical Center, they continue to receive hospital care and close medical supervision while participating in the rehab program. Every patient receives 24-hour medical monitoring and care by our physiatrist, nurse practitioners/ physician assistants and rehab nurses. Providers round daily during the patients stay. Patient recovery is aided by the latest therapy equipment including body weight support systems for safe recovery of walking; treadmills for maximum repetitions; a Dynavision machine for improving reaction time and visual processing and a simulation vehicle to practice getting in and out of the vehicle for the ride home. Responsibilities PERFORMANCE PLANNING Plans, coordinates and directs quality, compassionate care by maintaining standards of professional nursing practice and creating positive therapeutic relationships with patients/families. Supervises LPNs, PCAs, PCAs/US, US, Ortho Techs and other non-licensed staff. Overview The Intermediate Surgical Care Unit (ISCU) provides specialized care for post-operative surgical patients requiring a level of support between intensive care and acute care. With a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, the unit offers enhanced monitoring and clinical oversight for individuals recovering from complex surgical procedures. Overview DCH Health System is proud to offer Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Service at both our Regional and Northport Campuses. We specialize in the critical care of neonates and infants in our 21 bed unit at DCH Regional and 18 bed unit at Northport Medical Center. Our team of Neonatologists , Neonatal nurse practitioners, Neonatal nursing staff, NICU dedicated Respiratory Therapist, and NICU dedicated pharmacist provide in house care 24-7. We support a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care that also includes speech therapist, lactation consultants, child life therapists, and social workers. Our RN staff are especially skilled in the assessment and treatment of infants with complex, multisystem dysfunction. Our nurse to patient ratio is usually 1:2 or 1:3 depending on the acuity of the patient. They practice family-centered rounding to provide support and education so that families understand the needs for their baby. Overview The NMC Intensive Care Unit provides care for adult surgical, medical, and cardiac patients. There are 8 beds in the unit and all are visible from the centrally located nurse’s station.
