Assists in the training of new staff members and the development of existing staff members. Maintains current certifications in specialty, continues education when necessary as well as tracks, and maintains for staff as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in nursing required. Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). For Rural Health Network facilities only, employees hired after January, 2025, who do not possess a Bachelor’s degree in the required field, leadership may consider an educational plan with proven continuous action toward achieving a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing within five years of hire into position. Approval from the Nursing Executive for the market is required in order to waive the bachelor degree requirement at time of hire. Additionally for Rural Health Network facilities, for current employees, leadership may have considered acceptable qualifications and work experience equivalency based on facility size, rural market, and business need, prior to new Sanford education requirements. Responsibilities: Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care Assess signs and symptoms indicating changes in the patient's condition Document the patient's plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions Perform interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, hospital policies, and patient care outcome standards Revises the plan of care according to evaluation, changes in the medical plan of care, and effective/ineffective nursing interventions Uses clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs of an assigned unit/floor, including establishing priorities Qualifications: Must be a licensed RN with a valid license Familiarity with Federal, State, and local long-term care requirements Two years of professional nursing experience Additional Information: Full-time position Monday-Friday schedule, days only Competitive salary and benefits package Sign-on bonus available We look forward to reviewing your resume for the RN Unit Manager position!
