Our Progressive Care Unit 3B (PCU) is a mixed specialty unit with a variety of surgical, medical, and cardiac patients. The patients in this area require progressive close monitoring as they are at high risk for status changes. The Registered Nurses on this unit create, nurture, and sustain a healthy work environment with a focus on the patient, where staff members take ownership of decisions in which top quality outcomes are achieved. On this 11-bed unit, Registered Nurses primarily care for patients with respiratory failure, sepsis and shock, heart failure, renal failure, stable post-op ENT surgeries, and stroke.
