Responsibilities Designs and develops centralized orientation programs, and identifies and develops adjunct faculty to deliver content. Responsible for staff development and competency in application of the nursing process and performance of critical thinking and clinical skills for that population. Engages regularly with interprofessional team in huddles, interdisciplinary rounds, and other forums to facilitate assessment and identification of educational needs. Performs needs assessment, develops, designs, implements and evaluates evidenced based educational materials utilizing principles of instructional design for adult learners. Overview $5,000 Sign on Bonus for eligible hires. Responsible for clinical duties such as taking vital signs, giving injections, performing simple diagnostic tests, collecting specimens, drawing blood, sterilizing and cleaning equipment, and maintaining examination rooms at an outpatient care site. Responsibilities Greets, checks in patients, and notifies appropriate provider. Prepares patient, room and equipment for procedures and exams. Takes and records vital signs. Informs provider of patient vital signs and concerns. Recognizes and treats emergency patients as a priority, assists with patient examinations and treatments. Handles patient situations over the phone, schedules appointments and procedures with medical professionals. Understands limitations in dealing with patients over the phone, and involves nursing staff and providers. Register new patients and establishes a medical record. Prepares patient billings. Overview Our Psychiatric Care Unit is a 24 bed Inpatient and Designated Receiving Facility supporting our region. Our team approach is dynamic with a focus on empowering patients to take charge of their treatment and be able to move forward. With an average stay of 8 days, you will also have the opportunity to support and facilitate patient healing in a therapeutic environment. This is a FT 36hrs/week (3x12hr shifts) Night Shift role 7p-7a. The night rotation is across all 7 days including weekends and holidays.
