General Statement of Duties : The Advanced Practice Provider assess patients using skills and knowledge to identify orthopaedic related problems. Essential Duties: Provides direct patient treatment, including but not limited to: applying and/or removing casts/splints, simple wound care and repair, joint injection and aspiration, administration of local anesthetic and digital blocks, joint and fracture reduction, and application of braces, splints, and other DME and soft goods. Provides patient and family instruction on the proper use and care of braces, splints, and other DME products. Helps to counsel individuals and families about their health related issues. Communicates individualized teaching plans to patients based on their needs.
