IMT participants interact with homeless services, criminal justice, and behavioral health service systems. IMT teams are hired, trained and funded to maximize flexibility and continuity of care for persons who historically have been poorly served. IMT teams are multi-disciplinary and include psychiatry, nursing, social work, peer specialists and other staff members offering rehabilitation, treatment and recovery support services. The team provides expertise in the areas of housing, substance use and harm reduction, criminal justice, peer support and behavioral health recovery. Based on their area of expertise, team members collaborate to deliver comprehensive, integrated and flexible services that are responsive to a participant's choices, needs and goals. With a small staff to participant ratio, services are brought to the participant and offered in natural settings, 24 hours a day and seven days a week. Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) functions as a primary practitioner who assesses and monitors IMT participants' clinical health and response to treatment. Psychiatrist needed / Part time Detention center in Brooklyn Job Description/Scope of Work: We are looking for a psychiatrist to join the Health Services Department at a detention center in Brooklyn. The Psychiatrist will conduct examinations on patients scheduled by the institution's medical staff. Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations and making referral recommendations for inmates. Each workday will consist of eight (8) sessions, totaling two (2) workdays per week (16 sessions + unpaid half-hour lunch). The candidate will have eight (8) sessions to complete a workday. Clinics will typically be scheduled between the hours of 7:30 am and 4:00 pm (including an unpaid ½ hour lunch) on Tuesdays and Thursdays, excluding federal holidays.
