A Brief Overview This position is for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday day shift 7am-730pm. The Flex Unit serves as an overflow unit and consists of curtained patient spaces with half walls rather than traditional private rooms. On the 5 th floor, an interdisciplinary approach is used to provide safe, patient/centered quality care to those we care for, assisting in returning the patient to his or her optimal potential. The unit is staffed by a Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, RN’s, LPN’s, PCA’s and Clerical Associates. We work along-side the hospitalist team, community providers as well as many of the hospitals Nurse Practitioners and Physicians assistants. We also have a night shift nurse practitioner and surgical app on most evening shifts. We work well with other hospital departments to provide the best possible care to our patients.
