Job Summary The Hospitalist Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) will deliver primary health care in the hospital setting to include, but not limited to, the recognition and management of common illnesses and injuries, and the provisioning of care across the health care continuum with emphasis on early detection, treatment, and prevention of diseases. Essential Functions Obtains and records patient history Consults with physician as established in the collaborative practice agreement. Develops and implements a collaborative practice agreement in the specific clinical area and performs a periodic review of the collaborative agreement. Completes diagnostic and therapeutic studies Completes charting in a thorough and timely manner Performs physical and medical screening examinations Works within legal, regulatory, and ethical practice standards Adequately manages patient flow in the Emergency Department Completes required courses, i.e., HIPAA, EMTALA and other CME /CEU requirements Orders diagnostic laboratory tests, radiological studies, or other therapies as appropriate Actively participates in staff meetings and risk management education Instructs and counsels patients regarding mental and physical health, referring patients to appropriate specialists/resources Functions as House Provider (responds to all RRT 's and leads ACLS/Codes) Participates as a Member of the CWHMC CODE committee Establishes diagnostic decision-making and initiates a treatment plan, which may include ordering medications, and additional therapeutic modalities, etc. Performs procedures as allowed by state law and under the direction of the supervising or collaborating physician Coordinates patient care with other members of the health care team. Initiates consultation requests to other health professionals to provide comprehensive patient management. Provides acute/primary health care in accordance with written policies approved by nursing and medical administration. Performs a patient record review with the collaborating physician in a timely fashion but not less than every three months Other duties as assigned Job Requirements Physician Assistant Certification Registration & Licensure by the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners/ Physician Assistant Advisory required OR Master’s degree in Nursing NP Certification Registered Professional Nurse with current NJ state license, CDS and DEA. Description MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Portland, ME is currently recruiting for a full time Surgical Float (days/nights), Physician Associate (PA) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP), to join our care team. Maine Medical Center (MMC) is a Magnet designated 637 bed Academic Medical Center located in Portland on the breathtaking coast of Maine. Physician Associate/Nurse Practitioner Vascular Surgery Portland

Description Join MaineHealth Maine Medical Center’s Vascular Surgery Team! MaineHealth is seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Associate (PA) to join our dynamic Vascular Surgery team. This is a part-time role (30 hrs weekly/ 3 days) and offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative group of 11 Vascular Surgeons, 1 Podiatrist, and 7 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) across multiple locations, including Lewiston, Scarborough, and Portland. Responsibilities As an integral member of the team, the APP will function independently and in partnership with physicians to deliver comprehensive vascular care. Responsibilities include: Conducting joint and independent patient visits Supporting nursing staff with triage and clinical decision-making Providing outpatient vascular care, including post-operative management, follow-up, and long-term maintenance Participating in consults and post-operative care at St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston Ideal candidates will bring a strong foundation in vascular procedures and surgeries, along with a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.
